What: Get your backpacks ready, we’re going camping!!
Where: San Juan Island – Lakedale Campgrounds
When: September 8 – 15 2025
Details: Get ready for canoe races on Orcas Island. Electric bike and/or moped tours through farm country on Orcas Island. Hiking on San Juan Island. Conversations around the campfire. Movie nights. Spontaneous music venues. Whale watching. Singing up a storm with Sonny’s Freeze Dried songbook. And as needed, campgrounds with hot showers.

Monday, September 8

We will be spending Monday night, September 8 at Washington Park in Anacortes

Tuesday, September 9

Get on ferry 9:15 a.m.

While in the ‘ferry waiting line’ a ‘tailgate breakfast’ will be served

Destination: Friday Harbor on San Juan Islands

Arrival: 10:40 a.m.

Set up camp!

Wednesday, September 10 and Thursday, September 11

We are on San Juan Island camping at Lakedale Campgrounds

Friday, September 12 – Sunday, September 14

Ferry to Orcas Island where we will be setting up camp

Electric bike ride and/or moped rentals available for an 8 hour

‘Mother of all rides’ around Orcas Island

Canoe races/paddle boarding

Monday, September 15

Ferry back to Anacortes

Ferry leaves at 8:15 pm

Spend night at Anacortes Inn (number above)

Pre-trip details

Everyone will need to bring:

Their own tent, ground cloth, sleeping bag, cot or air mattress,

pillow, raincoat or waterproof parka, clothing, boots

Optional

Their own bike or canoe if they can transport it

We will plan on six vehicles that can transport four people plus their gear. Anastasia has a truck; Sonny has a truck. We will need four more vehicles.

We will provide everything needed for meals. Participants just need to bring their appetites.

What: A GWLN hosted event - We are hosting our annual GO OUTSIDE Women's Retreat in a different in Mammoth! This weekend getaway is a reconnaissance attempting wanting to explore hiking possibilities for future Go Outside venues. That is why we call these adventures an opportunity to GO OUTSIDE! We continue to explore endless opportunities!
