COVID-19 in the Congo

We are hoping to bring encouragement and needed financial help to teen moms in the Congo DRC during this global pandemic.

These young women use locally available material to make masks as well as their own protective gear. They purchase their own megaphones in Goma. Early in the morning at 5 a.m. before people leave, these young women go out into the villages with their megaphones to inform the masses in the villages of the need for protective behavior. Most people in Goma don’t have much water and can’t afford sanitizers.

The financial help we are sending to these teen moms will continue to provide the basic protective gear that people need to protect themselves as best as possible against this unseen enemy, COVID-19.

Thank you for becoming a part of this global effort to bring practical help along with needed encouragement!
