I intentionally enroll in French classes each time I know I will be going to the Congo DRC.
I speak on ‘The Ascent of a Global Woman Leader‘. In that message I usually bring two ladders as visuals. One ladder is labeled ‘The Capacity Ladder’; the other ladder is labeled ‘The Character Ladder’. The Fifth Rung on the Character Ladder is labeled ‘a fifth rung leader. You have a good photo shoot of me and ‘the ladders’ already….might be good to use that here as well. I like to be what I call a ‘Fifth Rung Leader’ on the character ladder.
A Fifth Rung Leader
will avoid complacency as we walk through life
we make choices that keep us on the growing edge
we know the dangers of spiritual plateauing
As I go to the Congo this coming March, 2023 I am intentionally wanting to speak in French to the leadership of Africa New Day as well as hopefully give a SHOUT OUT word of encouragement in French to The Sons of Congo who are changing the trajectory of how women in Congo are valued. Speaking in French in a speaking engagement is an example of raising the bar for me making a choice that keeps me on the growing edge.
